4th NE Indigenous Music Festival underway

Dimapur, Oct 6:  In a bid to jazz up the musical spirit of the music aficiodos the fourth edition of the two-day North East Indigenous Music Festival kicked-off  at Dimapur on Friday. The festival is being organized by Abiogenesis Society with sponsorship from North East Council and DoNER Ministry. The main event on October 7 at IMC Hall of Dimapur will feature eight renowned artistes and bands from the region mely Summersalt - a folk fusion band from Meghalaya, Jambili - a folk fusion band from Assam,  six member folk rock band from Manipur titled Imphal Talkies , Atso Chasie, who is the winner of tiol Classical Guitar Competition ‘AXE POWER 2013’ will be performing with Choseo Tetseo, Ragamuffins- a folk fusion band from Assam, Jano Nyeka from galand, Vania Chawang and Abiogenesis – the folk fusion band from galand, which is the only band in galand to have received the Governors award for distinction in folk fusion music.  Besides, a workshop and interaction session for the North East artistes was held on Friday at the Abiogenesis Centre, stated in a press release.
