500 Congress workers join BPF

KOKRAJHAR, May 17: Over 500 Congress workers including the vice-president of No. 29 West Kokrajhar Assembly Youth Congress Ayub Ali, general secretary Idrish Hassan and Youth Booth president Usha Debth joined the ruling Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) on Sunday at a function held at Chitila Community Hall in Kokrajhar which was chaired by district BPF president rayan Basumatary.

Many mondal Congress committee leaders from the areas and  former general secretary of Tulsibil unit AKRSU, Monoranjan Barman and executive member of Tulsibil unit AKRSU Subal Barman also joined the party.

BTC Executive Members Daneswar Goyary, Rajib Brahma, MLA Pradip Kumar Brahma, BPF party vice president Bhaktar Ali Ahmed and former MLA Hemendra th Brahma welcomed the new members. Twenty senior members were felicitated and given a warm welcome into the regiol party.

BPF leader Hemendra th Brahma said that it was good for the BPF to increase its strength before the upcoming assembly election. He said that the people had understood that the BJP and Congress had no hold in Bodoland region and only BPF led by Hagrama Mohilary could work for the development of the BTC.

BTC executive members Daneswar Goyary appealed to the new workers to work for strengthening the BPF and to work for the development of the region.
