57th Golaghat Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan kicks off

GOLAGHAT, April 24: The 57th Golaghat Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan kicked off on Tuesday at Golaghat Samannay Khetra with a cultural procession. Various folk dances of Assam were presented during the procession. The procession was started from Samannay Khetra and carried out through the market place of Golaghat town. The All Golaghat District Students’ Union, with the help of the people of Golaghat, has organized the Golaghat Kendriya Rongali Bihu Sanmilan with a three-day long programme from April 24 to April 26.  An organizing committee was formed in this connection with Purna Rajkhowa as president, and Dwijen Bora as acting president. On the first day of the programme the flag of Golaghat Kendriya  Rongali Bihu Sanmilan was hosted by the president of the organizing committee, Purna Rajkhowa followed by smriti tarpan by its general secretary Monuwar Hussain and Atul Gogoi.
