59th establishment day of LICI held

GUWAHATI, September 1: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) organized its 59th establishment day at the divisiol office in the city today. LICI sources said: "We are going to celebrate the occasion with a week-long programme, including tree plantation, sit-and-draw programmes in some schools, meeting of eminent customers, health camps and awareness programmes." The source also said: "We have total 40 crore policies and more than Rs 20 lakh crore assets till date. In the fincial year of 2014-15, the Guwahati division settled claims worth Rs 668.52 crore with 98.98 per cent in maturity and 99.88 per cent in death claims. We supported 325 projects for under privileged sections of society all over the country and provided scholarship schemes to 10,878 students with Rs 10,000 each."
