5th UBC International Veteran Soccer Tournament Begins

GUWAHATI: 5th UBC International Veteran soccer tournament got under way at the Judges ground here today. Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attended the inaugural function as a chief guest and also inaugurated the tournament.

However former captain of Indian football Team Bhaichung Bhutia, who was supposed to attend the inaugural function, failed to turn up.

Altogether 12 teams are participating in the four-day meet which would be concluded on Sunday. Results of the matches held on day I: UBC vs Duliajan 0-0, Metro FC vs Kokrajhar 1-1, Narengi vs Meghalaya 2-0.
