6 Aruchal panchayats among best

Itagar, April 10: Altogether  six panchayat bodies including four from Papum Pare district have been selected as best panchayats by the Central Govt for the year 2014-15.

The Panchayats from Aruchal Pradesh  that have been selected as Best Panchayats 2014-105 are : Zilla Parishad and 5-Hija Anchal Samiti from Lower Subansiri district, IVth Upper Balijan Anchal Samiti, 24-Kakoi-Gram Panchayat, Kimin-1- Gram Panchayat,  and 11-Ganga Bath-Gram Panchayat from Papum Pare district.

A team of selected panchayat members, officers and officials of Panchayat department led by Akom Gaat Ligu, Deputy Director of Panchayati Raj and bam Rajesh, Deputy Director (RE) being the State Nodal Officer will receive the Awards from the President of India on tiol Panchayat Day to be held at New Delhi on April 24.

The union ministry of Panchayati Raj has  also released incentive grant under the “tiol Pan for Technical Assistance (NPTA) of Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan” (RGPSA)” for 2014-2015 to Panchayats who were adjudged as best Panchayats, stated an official release here today.
