60-year-old Supreme Court lawyer Kuljeet Kaur found dead in Noida home

Noida: A sensational incident of murder of a 60-year-old Supreme Court lawyer has come into light as police discovered her dead inside her bungalow in Noida Sector 31. The deceased lawyer, Kuljeet Kaur, was practicing in the Supreme Court

The incident took place on Tuesday night and as stated by the police, the direct suspects for the murder are the domestic help of the lawyer. The domestic help, husband and wife are absconding from the site of crime. Police discovered her hands and legs tied up and a piece of cloth gagged inside her mouth.

Notably, the domestic help was being hired by the lawyer only a week before and they have good reasons to be suspected for the murder of the lawyer. Among the valuables and goods missing from her murdered lawyer’s home, notable ones include a Honda City car, some cash and other valuables. As stated by the police, apart from the domestic help, the police are also suspecting the possibility of any property dispute behind the murder of the lawyer.

Kuljeet’s sister Divya Bajaj had registered a complaint after the incident in Sector 20 police station. While lodging her complaint, Divya said that she had been trying to reach her sister on phone but could not do so. The mobile number showed unreachable. On not reaching her sister her phone, when she went to the Noida house, she could find her sister lying dead with the house ransacked. Divya said, “I called her neighbours and asked them to check on her. The neighbours suspected foul play as the doors of her house were open and the car missing.”

On being informed by Vidya, a police team from Sector 20 police station reached the spot. Vaibhav Krishna, SSP, Gautam Budh Nagar, said, “The police found the victim’s hands and legs tied and her mouth gagged. Some blood had oozed from her nose. It looks like she had been strangulated to death.”

For further investigations into the crime, a forensic team from Lucknow has also been accompanied by the senior police officials. The police officer also added that there were CCTV cameras on the premises, as well but the DVRs are missing.
