60th convention of Asom Chah Karmachari Sangha

TINSUKIA April 16: The 3-day 60th Convention of Asom Chah Karmachari Sangha (ACKH) will be held from April 29 at Sripuria Bihutali, Tinsukia under the aegis of Panitola branch of ACKH. Established in 1947 at Tinsukia, the ACKH owns leadership of several thousand employees serving in 800 tea gardens across Brahmaputra valley.

A press release issued by the reception committee stated that on April 29 the delegate camp will be inaugurated in the evening followed by working committee meeting. Hoisting of ACKH and Bharatiya Rashtriya Congress flags will be held on April 30. The open session will witness deliberation of Dr Nagen Saikia former president AXX, Punya Saikia noted academician, Md H Zamal president central committee ACKH. The meeting will be graced by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Selection of new office bearers will be held on May 1.
