GUWAHATI, March 25: North Western Railway Sports Association (NWRSA) made good progress against North Central Railway Sports Association (NCRSA) and took 58 runs first innings lead on the second day of the semi fil in the 61st Inter Railway Cricket tourment match held at the Barsapara ground here today. In reply to NCRSA’s first innings total of 257, NWRSA are 315-4 in their first innings at stumps on day II. Nikhil Doru (143 no, 247B, 4x17) played a beautiful knock while Surya Prakash Suvalka 52, Gaurav Mee 44, and Gaurav Khatri 55 (no) also contributed good scores on the board.  Ambikeswar Mishra picked up 3-97.

 Meanwhile in the other match of the competition, Central Railway Sports Association (CRSA), chasing South Central Railway Sports Association’s1st innings total of 460, scored 137-1 in their first innings at stumps on day II. Amit Paunikar and  Sanjog Binkar remained not out on 77 and  51 runs respectively. Earlier, rode on a few good knocks from G. Chiranjeevi (150, 266B, 4x20, 6x2), M Suresh (89), Hemath Singh (70) helped SCRSA to pile up huge first innings total.  Salil Agharkar and Manish Rao picked  up four wickets each.
