621 villagers get ST, PR certificates

Itagar, Dec 13: Bringing administration into the door steps of the people, Yomcha administration in West Siang district has issued Scheduled Tribe, Permanent Resident Certificates and Birth Certificates to 621 villagers in the first phase of the month-long village outreach programme conducted under the supervision of ADC Yomcha Rujum Raksap from November 9 last. The main objective behind the programme is to provide necessary documents to the people, who are ignorant about the importance of certificates besides creating awareness among the villagers about the importance of cleanliness and maintaining high degree of health and sanitation practices. So far, 10 villages have been covered under the mission and eight more villages would be covered by the end of this month, an official report informed here today.
