62nd All India Cooperative Week kicked off

Shillong, Nov 14: The 62nd All India Cooperative Week Celebration, 2015 was today iugurated by Meghalaya Minister for Cooperation, HDR Lyngdoh in the presence of Parliamentary Secretary, Cooperation, Stephanson Mukhim. The iugural function was held at the conference room of the Meghalaya Cooperative Apex Bank Ltd, Shillong on the theme “Make in India through Cooperatives” with the topic on “Skill Development and Employment”. The week long programme is being organised by the Cooperation Department, Government of Meghalaya along with the State Level Cooperative Federations. In his iugural speech, Lyngdoh said that the tiol Cooperative Union of India every year celebrate the Cooperative Week to highlight the achievements of the Cooperative Sector in various sectoral areas and to chalk out future strategies of growth based on dymics of cooperative development in each sector. Earlier, Lyngdoh handed over the loan sanctioning letter to 12 beneficiaries and the State Level Cooperative Excellence Award, 2015-16 to the ICAR Employees Consumers ‘Cooperative Society Ltd.
