65 youths to undergo skill development training

Itagar, Nov  18: Under the chief minister’s flagship programme on Skill Development and Employment Generation (SD&EG) the department of SD&EG on Tuesday organized a briefing cum send-off programme at Udyog Sadan here, for 65 youths. The youths have been selected to undergo skill development training in Integrated Course in Beauty & Hair Dressing at O2 Spa, Masti Health Service Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad and in Plastic Processing at Central Institute of Plastic Engineering Technology (CIPET), (Govt. of India Undertaking) Balasore. SD&EG Director Subu Tabin along with Skill Development Deputy Director K Sarma, Assistant Director J Riba and representative of CIPET and O2 Spa briefed the youth about the training programme, train journey, essential to acclimatize in the new place.

The cost of the training including both way travelling, training fees, boarding &lodging are being borne by the state government under chief minister’s skill development mission. Both the VTPs would impart 6 months of training both theory and practical including soft skills like spoken English, communication, internet browsing etc and at the end of the training the candidates would undergo an assessment to be conducted by an empanelled and professiol organization while trade certificates would be provided to the successful candidates by tiol Council for Vocatiol Training (NCVT), New Delhi. The state government has signed a MoA with O2 Spa and CIPET for imparting training and to ensure minimum of 70 per cent placement (job) at minimum monthly salary of Rs 10, 000/- in hand immediately after successful completion of the training.
