66th foundation day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha observed

UDALGURI, Nov 16: The Harisinga Primary Committee of Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) observed the 66th foundation day of Bodo Sahitya Sabha with a day-long colourful programme.

The programme began with the hoisting of flag by Simson Daimary, the president of Harisinga BSS, followed by tribute to the martyrs by Shankarlal Basumatary. The open session, which was presided over by Simson Daimary, was iugurated by Tridip Daimary, the BTC Speaker. He apprised the people about the BTC government’s initiative towards educatiol development in the region and urged the people to take positive steps for the education and advancement of their children. He also requested the Bodo Sahitya Sabha to organize literary workshops to provide scope to the upcoming literary talents in the region.

 The mouthpiece Hadungra, edited by Philib Daimary, was released by Dilip Bora, the advisor of Udalguri Jila Karmachari Parishad. The meeting was also addressed by Manin Basumatary, the working president of Udalguri district Bodo Sahitya Sabha, and Rinjoy Boro, the secretary of All Bodo Students’ Union. Kartik Chandra Boro, the Udalguri district BJP president, Lok Bahadur Chetry, the Principal of Harisinga Junior College, among others were also present on that occasion. The mixed community cultural dance performed by the students of Harisinga H S School dissemited the message of unity and integrity in the region.
