67 pc mes published in first draft NRC in Udalguri

TANGLA, Jan 4: Amidst apprehension and perplexity over the first draft of NRC, Udalguri has also remained a part of the historical moment with the publication of the first list of the draft NRC on the midnight of December 31. Following the publication of the draft NRC, the published list has been made available across the NRC Seva Kendras, besides the revenue circle offices and office of the Deputy Commissioner, and also the websites. A total of 67 per cent mes of people of Udalguri district figured in the first part of the draft of the tiol Register of Citizens (NRC). This was informed to media by Additiol Deputy Commissioner BJ Manta.

Meanwhile, most of the people whose mes figured in the part draft hailed the smooth process of NRC update while a section of senior citizens of Udalguri town expressed dismay but hoped that in the next draft their mes would definitely figure.
