6th MLP wins

SHILLONG, April 2: 6th MLP defeated Shillong Traffic Police by 3 runs in the Inter Office cum Corporate Cricket League 2015 organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo.  6th MLP won the toss and opting to bat first put up a competitive score 104 losing 8 wickets in alloted 20 overs. Khamborlang Nongkynrih remained unbeaten on 42 runs off 57 balls and Kumar Sewa scored 17 runs off 17 balls while Steve Syiemlieh took 4 for 20 runs and Wanlambok Nongkhlaw took 1 for 16 runs for STP. In reply, Shillong Traffic Police batted well but Selvin K Sangma destroyed them by taking 4 wickets for 24 runs including 3 wickets in the last over when STP required 7 runs. Sameer Quereshi also bagged 2 wickets for 31 runs. Wanlambok Nongkhlaw top scored for STP 25 runs off 28 balls and Pradeep Thapa scored 19 runs off 26 balls.  Wanlambok Nongkhlaw won the man of the tourment award for his all round performance in the tourment while Selvin K Sangma won the man of the match award. FM Doph, Director Sports and Youth Affairs, Clive Dui Asst Director, N Bhattacharjee, President SCA among others distributed the prizes and cash award to the filists.
