7-year-old girl raped by youth

JHURIA, April 16: In an incident of sexual assault on women, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a local youth at Borlikhari village under Jhuria police station in gaon district on April 13.

The incident took place while the victim, a student of class 1, was alone at home. Sources said she was lured over some pretext by a local youth Dildar Hussain, who later took her to the backside of her house and raped her. Later the parents of the victim found her in an unconscious state inside backside of their house. In a state of shock, the girl rrated the incident to her parents, who later approached local police. She was first taken to Jhuria police station and then shifted to gaon Civil Hospital for further treatment.

The parents approached the Jhuria police station and have to filed a case against Dildar. The girl has stated that she was lured by Dildar to a secluded spot backside their house; the accused thereafter gagged her mouth and raped her and fled the spot.

The victim said the accused also asked her not to reveal the incident to anyone . Police so far have not arrested accused youth Dildar. He is reportedly absconding.

The police got the girl’s medical examition done at the district hospital, said a police official. “The medical report is awaited and we investigating into case. A case under section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against him,” said a police official.
