73th birth anniversary of Ganesh Kutum

Gohpur, April 1: The 73th birth anniversary of former Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Ganesh Kutum was observed in Gohpur on Sunday by Jati- Jagushthiyo Sahitya Sanskriti Bikash Mancha. A semir was held in the conference hall of Gohpur town committee. In the programme, Ganesh Kutum’s colleague and veteran social worker Ram yan Patgiri unveiled the souvenir ‘Ganesh Kutum persolity and achievements’, edited by jourlist Bhuban Saikia.

The semir was conducted by noted poet and jourlist gen Konwar. Veteran educationist Lalit Hazarika iugurated the session by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Some dedicated figures of Gohpur who worked with Ganesh Kutum at that time, like Anda Patiri, Sidheswar Hazarika, and Bhaben Bhattacharya, along with other dignitaries, expressed their feelings and views about Ganesh Kutum.
