Bongaigaon, May 9: The 7th biennial convention of Greater Bongaigaon Press Club (GBPC) was held on Tuesday. Pranab Kumar Deka, assistant secretary of GBPC, said that the programme started with flag hoisting by Kunja Mohan Ray, president of GBPC. “This was followed by tribute paying by Simanta Ray Choudhury, secretary. The last executive meeting was held after that, which was presided over by Kunja Mohan Ray. After that, committee formation meeting was held under the presidentship of Ranjit Sarma. The new committee for the session 2018-2020 was formed in this meeting where Sujit Kumar Ray was selected as president, Tejesh Tripathy as working president and Upananda Sarma as secretary. An 11-member executive body was formed,” said Deka.
