Caucasians tend to get gray hair earlier and redheads earliest of all. Then Asians and African-Americans use to affected by this accordingly. Till now scientists could not  figure out the reason.

3. Stress seems to play a role.

Dr. Roopal Kundu (associate professor in dermatology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine) said that stress won’t cause you to go gray directly. But stress can bring several harmful effects on the skin and hair issues. For example Dduring illness, people shed hair rapidly. People start losing their hair color after stressful events like chemotherapy; your hair may grow back with different color.

Smoking can stress your skin and hair. Dr. Karthik Krishnamurthy (Director of the Dermatology Center’s Cosmetic Clinic at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York) said that low vitamin B12 levels may cause loss of hair pigments. Dr. Wilma Bergfeld, a senior dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic recommended that eating foods like liver and carrots can help you to prevent this. People should include food packed with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants to their daily diets that can help you to prevent heart disease, cancer and other ailments.

5. Hair and its color are separate things.

Hair grows out of follicles on the scalp. The dead of follicles prevents hair growth. Stem cells can be used to stimulate  the cells and it also helps the follicles to grow of new follicles that lead to growth of hair. Researchers are trying to find out a medicine to prevent the graying process which could put on the scalp.

Hydrogen peroxide as a way to go blonde. Hydrogen peroxide naturally occurs in the hair follicles as we grow older it builds up. This blocks the production of melanin, which is an indeed part of hair pigmentation as per as the study published in 2009 by the Federation of American Societies For experimental Biology.

Philip Kingsley Trichologist Glenn Lyons said that your hair may feel coarser  when you pull out your first few grey hairs. He also added that constant pulling-out of hair can affect your follicles, which may crinkled your hair.
