TANGLA, June 3: Mousumi Baruah from tiol Pioneer College, Tangla, who bagged 8th position securing 471 (94.2 per cent) out of 500 aspires to be civil servant in future. “I aspire to be a civil servant,” an elated Mousumi told The Sentinel.
She secured 92 in English, 97 in Assamese, 90 each in Education and Political Science, 85 in Logic & Philosophy and 94 in Economics.
Expressing happiness with her result, Mousumi, daughter of Ram Bilas Baruah and Nirmali Baruah, said, “I am speechless at the moment. I was quite hopeful of securing a position, and my dream came true.”
She expressed her gratitude to the teachers of the institute for their support in securing her position. She also exhorted the young generation not to waste-time in social networking sites like Whatsapp and Facebook. Mousumi is also an acclaimed Bihu dancer. Students of the college took out a procession with Mousumi throughout the town. Student organizations and people felicitated her.
