9 Assam footballers selected

GUWAHATI, May 7: 25 young footballers from North East, including Nine from Assam, have been selected for the next phase of the Reliance Foundation Young Champ Programme which will be held in this month. Among the other selected footballers 13 are from Imphal, 2 from Shillong and 1 from Aizawl. The children were chosen from the grassroots selection festival organised by North East United FC recently and they will now participate in a week-long camp in Mumbai. The best talent, spotted during the selection camp, will be awarded the Reliance Foundation Young Champs Scholarship. The selected footballers from Assam: Birendra Rabha Singh, Amar Jyoti th, Uday Khungur Boro, Uday Hirakjyoti Kalita, Anupom Borgohain, Rahul Basumatary, Ankur Konwar ,Parthib Sundar  and Akash Majhi.
