'A Ray of Hope Society' distributes relief to flood victims

Dima Hasao, Sept 2: As a result of the devastation caused by the recent floods in Assam, around 33 lakhs people were affected and many were left homeless. ‘A Ray of Hope Society’, an NGO, swearing by a the adage –service to mankind is service to God—took the noble initiative and distributed relief material to the flood victims of four different remote villages in Karimganj District.  
The villages include Arjungar, Soitala, Rakeshgar and Dolu .The relief programme was organized in L.P. School premises, where 200 families were given tarpaulin, blankets, mosquito nets and repellents, candles, etc. 
President of AROH Society, Mithun Sarkar, said that everyone should come forward to render a helping hand to these victims and should not solely rely on the authorities.
