
According to authorities on Monday, a 16-year-old kid died at Navi Mumbai's Nerul railway station after receiving an electric shock while attempting to create a social media clip on a stationary train carriage. According to senior inspector Kiran Undre of the Vashi Government Railway Police (GRP), the child, identified as Arav Srivastava from Belapur in Navi Mumbai, visited the train station on July 6 with his pals. "He climbed up a stationary train wagon loaded with garbage and started preparing reel," claimed the official.
The youngster fell down and collapsed after receiving a severe electric shock when his hands touched an overhead high-powered line while he was on top of the bogie. According to the official, the youngster sustained 60% burns and multiple damages to his head and other body parts.
At first, he was taken to a nearby hospital. He was sent to the Burns Hospital in Airoli as his health deteriorated, where he fought for six days before passing away on Saturday night, according to Undre. According to him, the police are looking into the incident and have filed a case of accidental death.
