A timely completion of a project!

SHILLONG, March 30: The New Office Building of the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), East Khasi Hills District was completed within a record time of 22 months at a cost of Rs 22 lakh.

Taking into consideration the delays in execution of government funded projects, the timely completion and formal iuguration of the building is an achievement for the State government.  

The building located at the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office of East Khasi Hills was iugurated by the State Minister in charge of Community and Rural Development (C&RD) Prestone Tynsong.

Speaking on the occasion, Tynsong said that this is one of the fastest projects completed in the state. He also expressed hope that the District Rural Development Agency office which functions within the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office will speed up the day to day administration and this in turn will help in the delivery system of various rural developmental schemes.

 Others who attended the function include R. V.Lyngdoh, Government Chief Whip, K. N. Kumar, Principal Secretary C& RD, Sanjay Goyal, Chairman DRDA and DC, East Khasi Hills, Akash Deep, Director, C&RD,  P. Lawai, Project Director, DRDA, East Khasi Hills and Block Development Officers of the District.
