From Our Correspondent

Itagar, Nov 23: The BJP in Aruchal Pradesh has termed the victory of its candidate Dasanglu Pul in the Hayuliang by-election as a victory of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).

Congratulating Dasanglu for her victory by a margin of 942 votes, BJP State unit president Tapir Gao who led the election campaign from the front at the ground in a statement today said, “This victory is a tribute to former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul as much as to the thousands of BJP workers who have made it possible.”

Claiming the victory as stamp of approval for the newly formed NEDA government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Gao acknowledged and appreciated the team effort of Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chow Mein, Home Minister Kumar Waii and the entire cabinet members and parliamentary secretaries.

“‘This would not have been possible without wholehearted support and cooperation of the alliance partner, People’s Party of Aruchal (PPA) Chairman, Kameng Ringu and President Kahfa Bengia,” Gao underlined. He rated the historic victory as sign of good days to come.

“Lotus will bloom more and more; Prime Minister Modi’s leadership is not only accepted by the tribal but is being hailed as the golden period of the tribal of the frontier State,” Gao added.
