AABP 10th foundation day

Silchar, April 4: Akhil Assam Bhojpuri Parishad (AABP) is all set to organize its 10th foundation day (Sthsap Divas) on Friday at Gandhi Bhawan in Silchar. It is for the first time that the central committee of the Parishad has decided to observe the main foundation day programme in Silchar. This information has been shared by the members of the Parishad at a press-meet held at Madhyoshohor Sanskriti Samiti hall, Silchar on Wednesday. Celebrations will begin from 9 am with hoisting of the flag by Kailash Kumar Gupta, president, state committee, AABP. It will be followed by paying of floral tributes to the martyrs.

Addressing the mediapersons, Sanjeev Roy vice president of the central committee of AABP central committee who is also the chairperson of the reception committee of the foundation day celebration said, “A general meeting cum discussion session will be held from 11 am. All sort of problems related to NRC, education, health, socio economic conditions prevalent in the valley will be discussed at length. AABP has already made a mark. It has filed a case regarding NRC in the Supreme Court of India. The credit for introducing bilingual questions, both English and Hindi, goes to this Parishad. A delegate will also talk with the Chief Minister and Education Minister of Assam regarding the fate of Hindi medium schools in Barak Valley.”
