AACSAS demands arrest of DL&RSO

From Our Correspondent

Itagar, Dec 21: The Aruchal Anti-Corruption Se An Samarthak (AACS-AS) in a letter to state Chief Secretary on Wednesday has demanded for immediate suspension of Seppa DL&RSO Pudam Taku for his alleged involvement in siphoning off funds to the tune of several crore.

Observing that a fair trial would not be possible unless the accused is suspended, the AACS-AS also demanded immediate arrest of the DL&RSO stating that a case has already been registered against him at Seppa Police Station. The case against Taku was filed by one Koram Teli of Rilloh village under Pakke-Kessang administrative circle in East Kameng district wherein he alleged that the DL&RSO, who is also the Member Secretary of Trans Aruchal Highway (TAH) for survey as well as the member secretary for land compensation distribution, had siphoned the compensation amount at Rilloh segment. Meanwhile, the organisation also appealed the High Court, CJM Court and the District Magistrate not to grant bail to the accused.
