AACWA demands discipliry action

Itagar, Feb 16: Claiming that departmental officers of Rural Works Department under Aruchal Rural Road Development Agency (ARRDA) are imposing two percent Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for tribal contractors in violation of government notification, the All Aruchal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA), in a representation submitted to chief secretary S Gamlin has demanded discipliry action against the officers.

Many government departments have been following the state government notification for one percent EMD for APST contractors for any kind of tender/ quotation under various schemes, but the RWD is not complying with it, the association wrote in its letter. Seeking clarification on the government gazette notification of The Aruchal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professiols (Incentives, Development and Promotiol) Act, 2015, AACWA further stated that the RWD has failed to implement the said notification during the ongoing e – tendering for PMGSY schemes.

The association further alleged that the RWD has also failed to comply with the guidelines of tiol Rural Road Development Agency (NRRDA) and Aruchal Rural Road Development Agency (ARRDA) in evaluation of bids and awarding contract works, a press release informed here today.
