From Our Correspondent
Itagar, Jan 31: The All Aruchal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) in a representation to Chief Executive Officer, Aruchal Rural Road Development Agency (ARRDA) has called for implementation of single bid system for registered Aruchal Pradesh PWD contractors. Referring to a recent NIT advertised by various executive engineers of Rural Work Division (RWD) for execution of PMGSY schemes, the AACWA stated that all the local contractors registered under AP PWD had already submitted their requisite qualifications and their bidding capacity. And, without submitting the requisite documents, a firm or person cannot obtain license from the authorities, the AACWA said. The contractors’ association also urged the CEO to issue directives to various EEs of the department to implement the Govt. order to adopt 1% earnest money deposit for APST contractors for any kind of tender/ quotation, which, according to the association, has already been implemented by all other government executing agencies. It further urged the CEO to strictly follow the CPWD Manual for Sale of Tenders paper and publicity of tenders as per CPWD manual, a press release informed here today.
