Aajeevika and Kaushal Vikas Diwas observed

Shillong, April 27: The Aajeevika and Kaushal Vikas Diwas organised by the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Khliehriat in collaboration with the office of the Block Development Officer, Wapung C & RD Block, Khliehriat was observed at Khliehriat West play ground on 26th April, 2018. B Mawkhiew, District Statistical Officer graced the function as the Chief Guest. This has been stated in a press release

Speaking on the occasion Mawkhiew said that the main aim of the programme is to sensitize the people about the various schemes that are being provided for the benefit of the poor through the National Rural Livelihood Mission. He also said that as citizens we must observe dignity of labour by not shying away from doing any kind of work.

Luckystar Lamin, SBI representative highlighted on RSETIs that impart training and skill up-gradation of rural youth towards entrepreneurship development. RSETIs are managed by banks with active co-operation from the Government of India and State Governments.

A Sun, JE, Wapung C&RD Block Khliehriat enlightened the gathering on the PMAY-G scheme for construction of houses for the poor, the release added.
