AAMSU activists burn effigies of Sonowal, Bhattacharya

Bongaigaon, May 5: Activists of All Assam Minorities Students’ Union (AAMSU), New Bongaigaon committee, burnt effigies of Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sarbanda Sonowal and State BJP president Siddhartha Bhattacharya on Tuesday.

 The activists protested against the BJP-led Central Government’s decision to hand over Assam’s land to Bangladesh. “Inclusion of Assam’s land in the conflicting land bill has proved it. This is cheating the people of Assam. We will never let the BJP do so and will start a massive agitation against this,” said the Bongaigaon district president of AAMSU.
