AAMSU demands appointment of anesthetists

From a Correspondent

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Feb 14: The Golaghat Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital is running without Anesthetists since several days for which patients are suffering.

The All Minorities Students’ Union (AAMSU), Golaghat district committee submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner Golaghat on Tuesday demanding immediate appointment of Anesthetists in the hospital.

In a press statement, president and secretary of the organization, Kadir Ali and Ishad Hussain, Anisuj Jaman respectively said that Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital was the only government civil hospital in greater Golaghat district. Patients come from Bokakhat, Numaligarh, Kamargaon, ojan, Chungajan, Sarupathar, Barpathar, Chilanijan, Bogijan and also from Karbi Anglong district. But the patients who come for surgery have to suffer due to non-availability of Anesthetists in the hospital.

They further alleged that the Golaghat Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital at present was in a very pitiable condition. Many patients have to lie on the floor. Interestingly, there is also a drugs pharmacy but it does not have sufficient medicines due to which patients have to depend on private pharmacies.  The AAMSU Golaghat appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Gourav Bothra to take necessary action in the interest of the poor people of Golaghat district.
