AAMSU stages demonstration in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon, Feb 7: All Assam Minority Students’ Union (AAMSU) Bongaigaon district committee staged a two-hour long demonstration on Tuesday in front of the DC office, Bongaigaon.  They demanded immediate distribution of free textbooks to school students. Tofir Uddin Ahmed, president of Bongaigaon district AAMSU, said that though the second month of the academic year had started, but yet most schools had not received free textbooks. “We demand immediate supply of textbooks. We also demand recruiting teachers as per ratio of students in schools and provincialization of non-provincialized schools,” he said. In this regard they submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the DC, Bongaigaon.
