Bongaigaon, April 26: The 21st biennial convention of All Assam Press Correspondents’ Union will be held in Bongaigaon from April 28 with a three-day long programme. Kunja Mohan Ray, secretary of the reception committee said that on April 28, several programmes would be held like enlistment of delegates, tree plantation, inauguration of exhibition and book fair and central executive meeting.

“On April 29, the programme will start with AAPCU flag hoisting by Manoj Sing, president of AAPCU, and reception committee flag hoisting by Phani Bhusan Choudhury, reception committee president, which will be followed by tribute paying. A colourful procession will be taken out on that day. The first open meeting will be presided over by Manoj Sing where several noted persons, including State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora. On April 30 the second open meeting will take place where Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary will be present, besides other dignitaries,” said Ray.
