AASAA condemns firing at former MLA's residence

MARGHERITA, February 4: All Adivasi Students Association of Assam (AASAA) Tinsukia district committee general secretary Ramanus Lakra has condemned the firing incident at the residence of Doomdooma LAC former MLA Durga Bhumij on Wednesday night by unidentified miscreants. Ramanus Lakra said that at Ultalapool Tingrai under Digboi Police Station, unidentified miscreants on the same night tried to shoot at shopkeeper Rameswar Majhi who maged to escape and ran for his life. “We condemn this cowardly act done by unidentified miscreants and urge the District Superintendent of Police to b the unidentified miscreants as soon as possible and to give proper security to the Adivasi people living in Tinsukia district region or AASAA will launch an agitation very soon,” said Ramanus Lakra.
