AASAA protests against ACMS president

DHEKIAJULI, March 24: About 60 AASAA activists under the leadership of  Markas Toppo, the publicity secretary of AASAA Dhekiajuli unit, staged a demonstration in front of the  residence  of ACMS president Bhima nda Tanti at Dhekiajuli on Tuesday. The local administration had made heavy security arrangement in and around the residence of Tanti to prevent any untoward incident. The protesters shoutied  slogans  against Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi,  ACMS president Bhima nda Tanti, Prithvi Majhi, Paban Sing Ghatowar and   tea garden owners. The main demands of the AASAA activists were wage revision and scrapping of the recent deed of agreement made by Paban Sing Ghatowar and tea company owners. Later the protesters marched towards the residence of local MLA Habul Chakraborty. But the security forces stopped the protesters near Dhekiajuli Truck Union and convinced the protesters to disperse.
