AASKSU protests against 'non-inclusion' of ST (Plains) candidates

TINSUKIA, June 25: The All Assam Sonowal Kachari Students’ Union (AASKSU) has expressed strong resentment against non-inclusion of ST (Plains) candidates in the recently appointed TET qualified posts of Lower Primary Assistant Teacher, the list of which was uploaded on Saturday in the official website of DEE, Assam. The press release issued by Keshab Sonowal, president AASKSU demanded immediate cancellation of the list, failing which the student body would resort to agitation soon. He stated that in Tinsukia district, out of total vacant posts of 192 LPA teachers, in general category 99 teachers had been appointed and corresponding figures for SC and ST(H) are 78 and 15, respectively with no reservation from any other categories.
