AASSBVA demands fincial grant and other facilities

UDALGURI, August 1: The All Assam SSB Volunteers Association (AASSBVA) has demanded one-time fincial assistance to their families and to re-instate other facilities like medical and other incentives, provision of social welfare schemes and providing identity cards.

To press on their demands, a five-member delegation of AASSBVA headed by Prodeep Kumar Daimary, the former deputy chief of erstwhile BAC and chief adviser of All Assam SSB Volunteers Association went to New Delhi and submitted memoranda to Prime Minister rendra Modi, Union Home Minister Rajth Singh and the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju.

The AASSBVA has been demanding solution of their issues since long time back. Their demands include granting of pension for the SSB volunteers of Assam, Aruchal Pradesh and others trained at Haflong of Dima Hasao (which was iugurated on November 19 in 1963 and later also at Debendra gar, Tezpur) recruited into the military and paramilitary services as well as providing quota for them.
