AASU, AJYCP felicitate meritorious students

Bokajan, June 11: In a bid to encourage students for higher academic achievements, AASU and AJYCP in separate felicitation programmes, honoured the meritorious students of Bokajan in East Karbi Anglong. AASU has been felicitating meritorious students since the past couple of years. Keeping up the tradition, the students’ body organized a felicitation programme and felicitated around 50 students who secured above 70 per cent in the HSLC exam, 2016. Each student was felicitated with a gamosa and a citation. Sarat Hazarika, AASU education secretary, was the guest of honour. On the other hand, AJYCP too in a separate programme on Friday felicitated around 150 first division holders in both HSLC and HSSLC examition 2016. The organization honoured each student with a gamosa, a citation and a pen. Dr Numal Momin, the newly-elected MLA of Bokajan was present to grace the occasion.
