DEMOW, March 23: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Demow Regiol Committee alleged that the construction works of the four-lane road had started due to which eviction drive was carried out in Demow Chariali and on Wednesday, eviction drive was done in Kamal Borah Primary School at Santipur near NH-37 road under Demow Block Elementary Office. AASU said that more than 150 students of the school had been affected as due to lack of classrooms, classes had been hampered. On Thursday, under the leadership of Dipankar Pratim Chetia, president and Gautam Borah, secretary of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU), Demow Regiol Committee, a memorandum was submitted to Demow Circle Officer. In the memorandum they demanded that altertive options should be given and regular classes should be held for the students as soon as possible.
