AASU demands hassle-free conduct of HSLC exam

From a Correspondent

Dibrugarh, Feb 21: The district committee members of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) on Monday burned the effigies of State Education Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and SEBA for indiscrepancies being carried out in the conduct of the HSLC examition.

The protest movement was staged under the leadership of the president and general secretary of district committee of AASU, Khagen Dutta and Rupjyoti Borthakur.  They accused the State Education Minister and SEBA authorities for their failure to conduct the examition in a hassle-free manner that had led to the leak of question papers. In this regard, a thorough enquiry must be carried out, demanded the district AASU president Khagen Dutta.

Both the president and general secretary jointly called for hassle-free conduct of the remaining subjects in the HSLC exam.

On the other hand, chaotic condition prevailed at the examition centre of Dibrugarh Bengali High School and Dibrugarh Boys’ Higher Secondary School. Examinees were left in jeopardy as they were provided with just one graph paper instead of two as required to be given to the students.
