AASU demands supply of books and study materials

Lakhimpur, February 2:  Demanding supply of study materials to high school students of Lakhimpur district, the regiol committee of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) protested in front of the district school IAS office on Tuesday.
The AASU activists said that high school students of Class IX and Class X of majority schools in Lakhimpur had not received their government supply of books and study materials even after a month of their admission, which was affecting their studies. They submitted a memorandum to the State Education Minister to consider their demand seriously and take quick action regarding it.
