AASU, ethnic bodies demand fast track court

GUWAHATI, June 13: The All Assam Students Union (AASU) and 28 ethnic organizations have demanded that a fast track court should be called to make a swift decision in awarding exemplary punishment to the culprits responsible for the Dokmoka incident that happened last week.

The organizations made this demand in its joint meeting held here today. The 29 organizations in its joint declaration also called upon the government to bring out a law to defeat all forms of superstitions.

The joint meet further decided to carry out campaigns among the public to create awareness against all forms of heresy and superstition.
