AASU protests against lack of textbooks in Jorhat

Jorhat, February 10: AASU Jorhat unit protested against lack of textbooks in Jorhat district for Class IX and Class X, in front of the Inspector of Schools’ office, Jorhat on Wednesday. About 500 student activists shouted slogans against the State Education minister Sarat Borkotoki. Later they sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Assam through the Inspector of Schools, Jorhat. As the new academic session of the schools have started from January, the government schools in Jorhat district have been suffering due to lack of textbooks, causing serious loss to students.
