AASU road blockade in Tangla

A Correspondent

TANGLA: The activists of Tangla AASU took to the streets waving black flags in protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the State.

The AASU activists and students blocked the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road in heart of Tangla town and burnt the effigy of PM Modi raising slogans against the leaders of State BJP and illegal Bangladeshi immigrants. “The visit of Modi to the State is a black day for the people of the State; the saffron party is a protector of the illegal Bangladeshi immigrants,” said Tangla AASU president, Pranjal Deka. He further added that the bill is an attempt to push the indigenous people into a verge of extinction. “We are determined and are ready to sacrifice our blood to honour of the martyrs of Assam movement”.
