AASU stages protest in Jorhat

Jorhat, June 25: AASU Jorhat regiol unit staged a sit-in  in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s  office, Jorhat on Saturday demanding more number of seats to solve the problem of shortage of seats in high secondary and degree courses in Jorhat.

About hundreds of activists took part in the protest and demanded increase in seats as soon as possible in various colleges in Jorhat district. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Jorhat.

Jul Khaund, executive member AASU central committee and Rajib Bora, secretary Jorhat sub-division committee also took part in the protest.
