AASU stages sit-in strike

PATHSALA, July 8: Activists of the Bajali subdivision unit of the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) staged a sit-in strike at Hari Mandir premises in front of the AASU office here from 11 am to 1 pm. The sit-in strike was led by Himanshu Kakati, president and Damudhor Roy, secretary in protest against the increase in tax on essential commodities. Around 50 activists of the students’ union participated in the programme.
