AATSU carries out survey of school facilities

Lakhimpur, Jan 30: The Lakhimpur district committee of All Assam Tribal Students’ Union (AATSU) carried out a survey of the rural/ remote schools of the district during the last few days to know about the teaching process, implementation of mid-day meal schemes, quality of education and government facilities provided towards those backward schools.  The survey was conducted at the initiative of president of the union Nirmal Payeng and secretary Lakhyajit Deori who said that the condition of these schools is poor.  They also said that due to the lack of skilled teachers and proper teaching plans many students of class 5/6 cannot write their me properly.
