AAU scientist nomited to IARI

JORHAT, April 5: Dr. Chandan Hazarika, Director of Postgraduate Studies, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, has been nomited by the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and president, ICAR Society, as a member of the Board of Magement of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi for a period of two years w.e.f. 20.03.2017 to 19.03.2019 as per the Council’s Office order no. CS/16/5/2011-IA.IV (Pt.I), dated March 20, 2017.

IARI, New Delhi is a premier agricultural research institute of the country, and has been providing leadership role in tiol Agricultural Research System, as well as human resource development of the country. The member of the Board of Magement of IARI is considered to be one of the most prestigious assignments. Dr. Chandan Hazarika has been nomited as an eminent educationist concerned with the research work of the institute.
