AAUA demands P&RD exam to be re-conducted

LAKHIMPUR, May 22: The central committee of All Assam Unemployed Association (AAUA) demanded the State government to cancel the Panchayat and Rural Development (P&RD) Department’s examination for 945 posts which was conducted on May 20. The organization submitted a memorandum to the P&RD Minister regarding the issue. As the examination could not be conducted smoothly in various designated centres across the State, the organization demanded that the exam should be re-conducted fairly and transparently. “Or we will be compelled to lodge Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Gauhati High Court against the State government,” declared Jivan Rajkhowa, the general secretary of AAUA. The organization will initiate agitation programme from Wednesday in this regard.
